An annual vigil? - this year they did have a valid point. Seems like there was a recent political update on this - and while I generally have very neutral stands on Protests and protest matters [work disclaimer] - what harbour-side and leisure boat Kiwi wants to lose out to Commercial Fishing. Preferring fresh fish any day - freezer catches on busy days aren't out of the question. Main thing is the protestors (a kiwi right to own opinion) behave en route - please to see they did, but then who wants their boat confiscated as well as the catch.
Good on you then I say - long live fish and chips - but not from a myriad of foreign boats that have a home territory of their own, nor over-zealous Kiwi fleets - there is a right balance for all this.
