Suppliers - product journey

GREEN ROSES ECHO  - Welcomes all my suppliers.  Hours sourcing individuals and small business with values that share our commitment to quality and sustainability has culminated in a fresh range of products we are proud to present - each company and small business partnership built on trust and transparency.

GRE's Owner-Manager drew from an interest in Sustainability - reading, workshops, networking etc, to collate this fabulous array of products from creators who love our earth, go to all ends to create, produce and send a message themselves - a platform from which to emanate the real beauty in and behind the products and their ethical business practice.

ECO-SUSTAINABLE business varies from bio-technology through to common garden compost and beyond - it is a cycle of regeneration, recycling, reusing etc, whichever you wish to employ - to improve our combined stance on earth.  You can live and breathe it, or you can choose one thing - like a  ripple in a pond - If everybody does just one small thing - whether it be personal practices or choices, buying and consuming better products, being the guru of all things green, or a goddess of change - it counts, we will all prosper.

MY ECO-OUTLOOK accepted a great deal of focus is required to pull the organics together, from my heart I can tell you it is easy when the message is clear - We have to look after our Planet - it may be the only one we have!

GREEN ROSES ECHO's list is forgiving, empowering and encompassing.  Opting to highlight my suppliers strengths, allowing them to champion their own products - whether they are the latest bio-tech discovery, plastic-free, recyclable, reusable, regenerative, sustainable, zero-waste etc... this is their gift to you, it shines in their product, their ethos glows, emanates warmth, wisdom and knowledge via the blessings they bring to the table - improving lives around them in a drop.

HOPING THIS WARMS A FEW Dolphin & Whale hearts - it's hard work, any relationship is - constant sharing and input, contributions over and above your personal and business output matter - whether it's profit, visiting, actively engaging, or setting up a community project - it all counts, and it uses all people's most precious commodity - time.

GRE's GEOGRAPHIC FOCUS is on a Pacific diamond - including NZ, AU and the Pacific -  many lovely isles, and deep South toward Antarctica - a backdoor vast and beautiful - come on in, cast your vote - help SAVE OUR PLANET.

Fiordland Souvenirs, NZ - Paua Jewellery (in Homewares - Pens).

Bring you the natural beauty of Paua (Haliotis Iris) from the pristine waters of New Zealand.  Their paua shell Jewellery Collection and Natural Shells are part of their Souvenirs range.

Shells showcase the iridescent blues, greens, and purples unique to New Zealand's abalone.  Chatham Islands and Steward Island Paua produce the most vivid rainbow-like displays, a distinction mostly attributed to colder water.

Paua Shell products celebrate the rich marine heritage of New Zealand's South Island

Ethically sourced and masterfully crafted, these stunning pieces reflect our commitment to sustainability.

SUSTAINABLE HARVESTING:

Marine Protected Areas:     Certain areas, including marine reserves and customary fishing zones, are off-limits to Paua harvesting - they serve as sanctuaries where Paua populations can flourish undisturbed contributing to the overall health of the species.

Cultural and Customary Practices:     Maori communities, as kaitiaki (guardians) of the marine environment, play a significant role in Paua conservation.  Customary fishing rights are respected, traditional knowledge incorporated into modern management practices - ensuring that Paua harvesting aligns with cultural values and sustainability goals.

Traceability and Certification:     Ocean Shell Studios is a licensed MPI packhouse for Paua shell with traceability of all shells back to the fishermen / divers who are harvesting with GPS data loggers on their backs when diving.

- Harvesting pressure is monitored and controlled in all harvesting areas with quota or license limits, subdivided to spread or reduce fishing in areas under pressure.

Focus on Shell Utilisation:     When Paua is harvested for its meat, the shells - a byproduct - are utilised in crafting giftware and jewellery, ensuring minimal waste.

Ocean Shell Studios and Fiordland Souvenirs follow the harvesting regulations and focus on repurposing these beautiful shells and reduce environmental impact.

By combining traditional knowledge, modern science, and stringent regulations, Paua harvesting in New Zealand exemplifies a sustainable and ethical approach that protects this valuable and beautiful resource for future generations to enjoy.

Better Packaging, NZ - so much research and results!

Quantum changes! also thanked by Industry rewards and recognition.

GRE nb: Plastic-free absolutely my intention - but moisture proofing always a problem - then I discovered this product line from Better Packaging's eco-champions: 'Ocean Bound Plastic' is plastic pollution rescued from nature that is certified to be at high risk of getting into the ocean.  POLLASTIC is a revolutionary range of packaging made from recycled Ocean bound plastic pollution rescued from coastal communities throughout Southeast Asia.  Carbon Footprint? - Independent Life Cycle Analysis has shown POLLAST!C mailers to be the lowest carbon form of packaging currently commercially available at scale, and sporting a CO₂ footprint significantly less than that of a traditional plastic mailer and even less than 100% recycled paper!

Sticker Dot, NZ - Label printing - logo marketing.

[not being game enough to attempt No Logo]  Barely a green word on site, small quantities and noticeable choices speak more.

GRE Nb:  Years of hunting printers that use eco-friendly card and paper products has proved quite elusive, even in Auckland - vegetable dyes a no-go for so long.  So you an champion a different clear winner (time and resources), that may eventually pull through on the eco-scale - hard call on industry so machine based - expensive outlays, slow turning wheels - but technology changes.
